In common with the first lockdown during the Spring last year, our work on new sites since the beginning of lockdown 2 has dropped away somewhat, whilst an increase in website enhancements and delivering training to users via Zoom has kept us from twiddling our thumbs.
One aspect of lockdown which has been really great to watch, is the clients in certain sectors that have thrived and grown, and those in challenging sectors which have successfully diversified.
Two great e-commerce clients which powered forward in the first part of 2021 were Devon Pond Plants who continued their run of record sales this year, and the Fuzzy Duck Food Company for which their recently revamped website by BIG has allowed e-commerce to now contribute significant turnover to the business via their new click and collect order system.
Around half of the work BIG undertakes is actually for the clients of a number of great marketing and PR agencies for which BIG provide WordPress and e-commerce expertise, and a 3rd party project which stood out this quarter was a new virtual murder mystery website for a wonderful company of talented folk, that have successfully diversified during the pandemic and taken online their theatrical service that was previously only delivered as in-person events.
As we now approach the end of lockdown and the full re-opening of the economy in the coming weeks, at BIG we very much look forward to the anticipated uplift in new websites development projects. At this time we currently have the capacity to begin work on new projects within a couple of weeks, and so if your business now requires a new website to help you grow post lockdown, or perhaps to diversify from a sector that hasn’t returned as strong, now is a great time to get in touch.
